en-suite rooms and well equipped self catering
facilities, the friendly community run bunkrooms are
suitable for families, individual travellers or
groups as you can book from one bed to 10. On bus
route from Tobermory to Calgary Bay. Well located
for village pub (good bar meals) and 2 well stocked
shops. Sea eagle hide 5 miles away, nearby wildlife
tour operators - land or sea, lovely walks, good
location for exploring north Mull.
The only campsite with any facilities
on the North of Mull (excluding Tobermory) is at the
magnificent beach at Calgary. The campsite is
free and provided by the local authority.
There are public toilets and water, however, it
should be noted that this often runs dry during any
sustained hot period. the campsite is also
very crowded at peak holiday times. There are
no 'hook-ups' or other facilities.
Having said all of that, this is a magnificent place
to camp in the off season! (Warning!
Argyll and Bute Council are probably going to
restrict this facility to tents only! Motorhomes etc
beware!)
